Streamline your workflow by saving specific edit combinations as presets and applying them quickly to new images. Presets not only save the enhancements but also the auto-selected settings. 

Super Focus, Dust and Scratch, and the Remove enhancements cannot be used in a Preset. 

 button in the sidebar, which will open the preset creation menu. Name your preset, review the edits and auto-selections, and click 

 menu and select your preset from the list. The edits and selections are added to the stack. 

Previous edits are retained and not replaced. If you want to use the preset on its own, delete any unwanted edits.

We encourage sharing presets with other users. To view your preset files, go to the Help > Open Presets Folder. These files can be shared with other users who can place it in their own Preset folders.

Presets (Legacy)

Use Photo AI as a standalone application to control the file name, export location, and file format.

These save options are unavailable when using Photo AI as a plugin for another application, such as Photoshop or Lightroom Classic. 

The queue displays pending files for saving. Preview the file name, image dimensions, file size, and format.

Use the export settings to customize the file name, file format, and export location of the final output based on your preferences or intended use of the images.

The Prefix and Suffix fields add text to the exported file name to make locating them easier. Toggle the "Add applied filters to filename" to indicate the AI filters used to process the image.

 This is added to the beginning of the original filename. Use it to include information such as project names, dates, or any other relevant details.

 This is added to the end of the original file name. Use it to include information such as version numbers, annotations, or edit history.

Use this setting to select the export location. Save to the original folder or select a new location from the dropdown menu.

Use this setting to control the file format of the output image. Choose between the options below.

Output images will export as the same type as the original. RAW is exported as DNG (an open-source RAW file type).

The default JPEG quality is 95%. That is the most space-efficient without sacrificing quality. Lower quality decreases image size dramatically and creates compression artifacts.

Use the Compress slider to decrease image size without decreasing quality. Use Bit depth to alter the range of colors or shades of gray available to represent each pixel.

- Use when you want to improve website performance by reducing file sizes and optimizing image loading times, especially for websites where images are a significant part of the content.

Use the DNG format for RAW input images. Any non-RAW files will be saved as TIFF instead. The program uses lossless compression to decrease the output file size without losing image data.

TIF & JPG file formats must be enabled in Preferences for Export.

: Increasing compression will increase export time.

Click the folder icon to open the folder that contains your processed image.

Export (Legacy)

Select multiple images and import to the application, or drag and drop entire folders. 

Batch process your images to quickly improve them in a group instead of working one at a time. You can let Autopilot decide on filters for you or set the filters yourself.

Below are a few options to quickly batch process your image, including:

Some Photo AI plugins allow importing multiple images in one session for batch processing.

Super Focus, Remove Tool and Dust and Scratch enhancements are 

 available for batch processing. These enhancements require manual settings to be chosen in a one by one image editing workflow.

Batch processing with Autopilot works best if you have personalized Auto-Pilot to your liking through the Preferences menu. To do this, in Preferences, go on the Denoise, Sharpen, Recover Faces and Upscaling sections and make sure to tweak these to your needs.Then click Save. 

 to Photo AI. By default, all images will have a green dot on the bottom left which indicates Autopilot is on. 

Once the analysis on the first file is complete, click on the "

checkmark in the filmstrip. Then click on 

. Autopilot will begin analyzing all the other files and apply the best filters as it processes each image in the queue.

To disable Autopilot in the application, go to Preferences > Autopilot menu and disable Automatically apply filters. This will require you to add manual edits to any image that is imported to the application.

To disable Autopilot for individual images, make any manual edit to the image. our settings are used for any images you changed. Autopilot will run on images with no changes.

The following manual changes turn off Autopilot for the selected image so you control the processing results: 

After you make manual adjustments to your image, you can select the images you want to process and click 

This is best for batches of images that are shot in similar conditions or created the same way.

Make your manual adjustments on one image.

Ctrl + A to select all images in the batch, or Shift + click to select some images from the batch.

Right click the images in the filmstrip or use the three dots to open the context menu.

Select Apply > Current Settings to Selected Images.

This copies the settings from the current image to the selected images.

Once you have created a preset, you can quickly apply it to a batch of images.

Select Apply > Preset > pick the preset you want to use.

This copies the settings from the preset to all your selected images.

Batch Processing (Legacy)

Click the Crop button on the top right under the preview to enter the crop menu and change the input image size.



By default, the aspect ratio is locked to the dimensions of the original image. You can turn off the "Lock aspect ratio" and manually change the crop rectangle size.

Click in the "Ratio" Drop-down to change the crop ratio. Select Custom to put a specific size. 


Move the crop handles to change the crop area. This will also affect the Rotation field if you turnt he crop area. The crop handles can be useful to slightly rotate and straighen a file. 

If you want to rotate the image a specific amount of degrees, you can enter, for example 90 in the Rotation Angle field. 




Click the Cancel button to return the original image size and cancel all changes for Crop or Rotation. Click the Apply button to save the selection. 

Crop & Straighten (Legacy)

Autopilot automatically runs on each image upon import. It analyzes your image for:

Metadata - such as ISO, camera information, and lens information

After the analysis, Autopilot selects the enhancements and settings needed to optimize the image based on the

The Autopilot filter toggle, which is enabled by default, automatically applies recommended filters to an image as soon as it is loaded, ensuring optimal enhancements are applied without manual intervention.

Personalization section uses data from your previously edited photos and offers preset suggestions to learn your preferences and tailor your editing experience for better results.

Upscale & Resize allows adjustment settings for resizing, including the output image size, AI model used, and minor adjustments for noise and blur, based on the detected quality of the image.

 - Pick a specific AI model for upscaling all your images. 

 - Set the height, width, long edge, short edge, or scale factor (2x, 4x, 6x) for all images on Autopilot. Images are upscaled to reach the selected dimension. Images larger than the selected output size are not upscaled. 

Scale can be used to downscale images to 0.2x the starting size. No other option downscales images automatically.

When using height, width, long edge, or short edge, the dimensions can be changed from pixels to inches or centimeters. This will let you control the print resolution when paired with Output Resolution.

Set to Preserve Original Resolution by default. Set Default Resolution to select a resolution for all processed files.

The default setting, automatically upscales small images to 12 megapixels or a maximum of 6x the original size. 

Images larger than 12 megapixels are not upscaled.

modifies the Autopilot recommended noise removal strength lower or higher when resizing any image.

The Denoise enhancement for non-RAW files lets you adjust the Autopilot settings to detect noise intensity and choose the AI model used to reduce it.

The Raw Denoise section is for RAW files that lets you adjust the Autopilot settings to select the AI model for noise reduction, control the strength of the fix, and enable hot pixel correction.

This setting controls Autopilot's Sharpen feature by detecting and correcting images with blur, selecting the AI model used for sharpening, and determining the default areas of the image that will be sharpened.

When detected blur is at or above a set amount, Sharpen is automatically turned on.

When detected blur is below the selected level, Sharpen is not turned on.

Set to Autopilot Off if you do not want Autopilot to turn on Sharpen automatically.

 - Pick a specific AI model for sharpening all your images. 

Choose a selected area for the Sharpen model to enhance. Click the dropdown menu for six different selection settings.

Recover faces controls which faces are automatically selected to recover and the default Face Recovery strength. Click the dropdown menu for face selection settings:

: faces in the subject mask are selected and improved

: face detection is turned off and no faces are improved

All faces processed use the selected Face Recovery Strength.

Parts to Enhance controls areas near the face which are improved.

Deselect Hair and Neck to improve only the face.

Selecting None disables face detection and reduces processing time if your images have no faces to recover.

The Preserve Text feature lets you adjust the default AI model and its strength to better preserve text in your images.

This controls the default strength for the exposure and contrast correction when it is turned on.

This controls the default temperature and strength of the color correction on the image.

 (this will overwrite any existing settings you've made to any image you've enhanced)

 allows you to customize the settings and optimize the software to suit your personal workflow. Here, you can adjust key preferences related to performance, user interface, and file handling to enhance your editing experience. This ensures that all adjustments, edits, and enhancements made to your images are stored safely, allowing you to seamlessly resume your work later without losing any of your changes. Whether you're tweaking lighting, colors, or adding effects, Photo AI’s session-saving feature keeps everything intact for a smooth, hassle-free editing experience.

Click the Check box for "Always do this" if you batch process regularly, saving a session can be valuable to your workflow and increase efficiency.
