Topaz for Web has three subscription plans. Image rendering is unlimited on the Image and Pro plans; video rendering uses credits.
- Image gives you unlimited image rendering, exports up to 32 MP, and no video credits.
- Video gives you 200 video credits a month, around 16 renders, and no image rendering.
- Pro gives you both: unlimited image rendering, exports up to 256 MP, and 400 video credits a month, around 32 renders.
Pro also runs 8 concurrent jobs where Image and Video run 2, and carries a commercial license for businesses at $1M revenue and above. All three plans can buy one-time credits.
How credits work
Credits are how video rendering is paid for. Image rendering doesn't use credits. It's unlimited on the Image and Pro plans.
What a video render costs depends on the model, the output resolution, and the length of the clip. For a 10-second clip at 30 FPS:
- Starlight Precise 2.6: 5 credits to 1080p, 20 credits to 4K
- Starlight Fast 2: 5 credits to 1080p, 20 credits to 4K
You'll always see the credit cost before you hit Render.
Monthly credits don't carry over. Your plan's credits refresh at the start of each billing cycle; anything unused that month doesn't roll forward.
One-time credits
Need more than your monthly credits? You can buy credits in packs. One-time credits never expire, and the larger the pack, the lower the per-credit price.

One-time credits are a top-up on your monthly credits and require an active subscription.
Auto top-up
Run out of credits mid-project? With auto top-up switched on, your renders keep going instead of stopping.
- You set a monthly maximum spend, not a credit amount. Nothing is ever charged beyond the limit you set.
- Credits are bought in 100-credit blocks, at the moment they're needed. A render needing 352 credits buys four blocks at once rather than issuing a stream of small charges.
- Auto top-up credits are discounted: 15% on the Video plan, 25% on Pro, which makes them cheaper than buying one-time packs.
- They're one-time credits: they never expire.
- If you reach your monthly maximum, renders pause until you raise the limit or buy credits directly.
Switch auto top-up on or off, and change your maximum, at any time in your account settings.
