Standard use of our desktop apps can be trialed for free prior to purchase. Trials have no time limit, and you can access them from our Topaz Labs Downloads Page to install.

You do not need to provide any payment information to preview the enhancements during the free trial. You will not be automatically charged.

Cloud rendering cannot be used during app trials. Images tested in Photo AI and Gigapixel cannot be saved. With Video AI, you can export trial results with a watermark.

If you decide to purchase, videos processed during the trial must be re-exported to be saved without a watermark. In other words, the watermark is not “unlocked” or removed automatically after purchasing.

The Video AI plug-in cannot be used during the trial, and while the Photo AI and Gigapixel plug-ins will connect during a trial, so you can preview the integration, content will not be sent back to the host editor.

When you first open each app, you will see an Activate window. Click on 'Start a Free Trial' for Photo AI and Video AI or 'Create an Account' / 'Login' for Gigapixel to begin.

If you decide to purchase, you can click on the yellow "Trial Mode" button in the top, right side of the app interface to open the Activate window, shown in the screenshots of the activation windows above. 

Next, you can click on the Buy button, which will take you to the purchase options.

Return to your installed application, and click on Account>Activate/Log in with the drop down menu options.

You can delete the app from your computer by going to your C:\Program Files\ for Windows or the Finder>Applications folder for Mac. 

Trial a New Version of an App You Already Own

If you already own an app license with an expired upgrade plan, you can trial a new version.

Keep in mind that installing a new version will replace your current copy. However, this can be reversed if you decide not to update. More in the After Trialing a New Version section.

To trial the new version, install the current release from our Topaz Labs Download Page. 

When you log in, you will see a message indicating that you do not own this version, but you can click on ‘Try this version!’ / 'Free Demo' or the X in the right corner to continue to thee trial mode.

Once you've had time to try it out, you can keep the new version by purchasing a renewal with the “Renew Upgrades” or “Renew your seats” option in your “My Products" page. This new upgrade plan will give access to the newest version right away, as well as a year of unlimited update coverage.

If you decide not to keep the newer version, you can revert to the version you already own with the “Owned” installer buttons in your “My Products" page.

Trial Before You Buy

Not all purchases are a subscription, so each section will identify that. If you enroll in a subscription and decide you do not want to keep it, you can cancel at any time from your 

Desktop apps are a one-time purchase for a forever license plus one year of updates. This gives you permanent use of the software for any version released within the first year of ownership. Past versions can also be used.

Standard licenses can be used for commercial purposes for individuals or entities making less than $1 million a year in revenue.

Because of fluctuations in exchange rates, we cannot confirm prices in other currencies, and we do not know what, if any, banking fees you may incur. If you're unsure, you may want to check with your bank or cardholder first.

Either way, you will be able to purchase through one of the Payment options on our Checkout Page, and the payment will be converted on the bank end.

All subscriptions, including upgrade plans subscriptions, will have an auto-renewal component in order to draft your ongoing payment. Depending on which payment schedule you choose, you may be paying per month, annually, or monthly for an annual commitment to access your collections or apps.

When you subscribe, an auto-renewal payment will be created for each subscription. This will continue as long as the subscription is active.

What are Auto-Renewals?

You can install your Topaz Labs apps on as many computers as you'd like, but you can only log in on the same number of computers as the number of seats you own.

All licenses and subscriptions comes with 2 seats by default.
