Mac System Profile
You will need your Mac system profile, .spx, to use Mac Check, and may need it when reaching out to support.
Get Your .spx
- Open System Settings > General > About, or click here to open automagically.
- Scroll down, select System Report...
- In the System Information window, go to the menu bar and select File > Save
- Choose a location to save the file.
Use Terminal
If you are comfortable using Terminal, use the command below to generate your .spx file.
system_profiler -xml > ~/Desktop/System_Profile_$(date +%Y-%m-%d_%H-%M-%S).spx 2>/dev/null
Your system profile will be saved to the desktop.
